Gentlemen, Romance and Courtship...

I just adore this pretty picture. I found it at the local thrift store (of course) for 12.99. Too much or too little? I wasn't quite sure where I would put her and even though she hangs on one wall, she may be moved again. I love the way her red lipstick stands out so much. Very pretty. Recently, while looking at past issues of 'Romantic Country', I found an article about a beautiful home who had two similar ones. I thought that was kind of neat! I didn't buy her because what she could or wouldn't be worth, but because.....it was a romantic picture to me. A picture of a young lady in love. A time of gentlemen, romance and courtship.

I actually think that is a GOOD price...have you SEEN the prices for art alone, without a frame? Ya, you did good.

My show and tell is posted now. Come by if you can find time. See you there! Happy Friday, happy show n tell day.

I love that pictures. I don't think it is too pricey. It has a very lovely Victorian look about it. Thank you for sharing your treasure with us.

Hi Wendy,

Wow, I have two pictures that look VERY similar to yours (not exactly the same poses) but they really do look like the same artist! I will have to post them and have you compare. :)

It's a beautiful picture, my Mother collects that type and has many, I think the price is good and a great bargain if you wanted it.

What a beautiful bloggie home you have Wendy!

Have a wonderful weekend!

That is a lovely picture, and it has such a pretty frame too!
Like you, I don't purchase things for what they are "worth", but rather because I like them!

Hi, I could not believe it your picture has the same lady that are in two of my flower market prints. I bought them 20 years ago at a garage sale. My frames are made from a type of plaster. If you go to my tea parlor pictures they are above my piano
