Each morning when I awaken to singing from the other room, it doesn't surprise me in the least. In fact, I purposefully leave the two little ones in their nursery to talk and sing just for a bit. Only being 11 1/2 months apart, Pearlie & Lincoln just LOVE each other. She thinks he's her real live baby to care for and he thinks she's the next best thing to Mommy & Daddy. Little things like holding each other's hands while sitting in their car seats, Pearl finding him a binky when he's upset and patting his back or him just brimming with smiles and happiness when she even looks at him-- these two are absolutely adorable together and display a love that would melt just about anyone's heart (or make you want to have children close together in age). This morning as I stood outside their door, I could hear Pearl talking with her baby brother using her 'extensive' 2 year old vocabulary. As you might imagine, I was curious to see what the topic of conversation was, but on the other side of the door this is what I found.....
Pearl was reading Lincoln a story! Being the adventurous two-sie that she is, she had climbed out of her crib and somehow managed to climb into his. But before she jumped in, she grabbed a book to read to her little sweet brother. Somehow I don't think this will be the last time. I can already tell what a good Mommy she will be one day.

The sweetest story ever! Love this!
AAAWWW SO sweet ♥
Ummmm... I want them! I absolutely LOVE that age! Your babes are darling.
I had 3 ... each was 10 3/4 mns. apart ... they were close as little ones. This is adorable ... melts the heart. Oh, for those days of innocence & precious wee ones.

Your little boy Lincoln looks to be about the same age as my little Lincoln. Such a rare name these days I had to comment. Your blog is super cute and so is your family. How old is your little boy? I hope someday my Linc will have a little sister that he can read too.
They are totaly adorable!! I miss the rockin and footie jammies age!

what a nice start to the morning,so cute!
I think that's what siblings are for, so nice that they get along.
You know the relationships we have with our siblings are longer than any other relationships we will ever have. Including our spouses, usually. I love my sister, she pushes me in the right direction, and she's younger!
CUTE, CUTE, CUTE....I am not sure I have EVER seen children as darling with each other as your children seem to be...how wonderful for ALL of them...and for you parents.
I had 3 girls in 4 years..and I think it helps to have them closer together...a LOT of work at the time, but worth it all.
