Can a woman really LOVE being pregnant?

On Monday, my hubby got our awesome babysitter to watch the Cupcakes and the two of us went for another ultrasound to check on the amniotic fluid level. We received the best news: Everything was fine & normal. I was so thankful-- thankful that God has my sweet baby in His hands. As I left the appointment (very happy), I realized that oftentimes we ask and pray for God to move in a particular situation, then, when He does move on our behalf, we go and find some "logical" reason as to why things turned out the way they did. We (maybe I'm just speaking for myself...) actually make up excuses as to why it just happened "naturally" and fail to take joy in the miracle. Unfortunately, it's so easy to take the glory away from Him. No matter what may have happened or by what sequence of events we arrived in this place, I believe God moved in my situation. With each of my seven pregnancies, I have never had a complication or unhealthy baby. A couple of umbilical cord difficulties were scary during delivery, but the doctor was always right on top of it. Everyday, I realize that even though I have not had a trial in this area, I am well aware that it does not mean that I never will or wouldn't have to face a faith testing circumstance. I am really thankful and amazed at how blessed we, as a family, are in this. I hold each pregnancy and baby sacred knowing that each pregnancy could be my last and each pregnancy is very special. I love being pregnant. I love allowing God to plan my family size. I love that God is our birth control, not us. I love that God has made us fruitful. I love that my husband and I both agree in this important area. I love that God makes each one of our babies. I love going to the hospital to have a baby (not the pain though!). I love cute maternity clothes. I love taking naps holding a newborn baby. I love having my husband next to me in the delivery room. I love being passionate about pregnancy. This may sound selfish because I have six cupcakes and one more coming, but I appreciate being pregnant so much that I think that the day God closes my womb I will grieve. There's something so special to me about finding out you're pregnant and having a little baby grow in your tummy. It's such an awesome privilege and joy to be a part of bringing new life into the world and waiting for their arrival. I don't know how many more Cupcakes we will have or when God will choose to stop sending us little blessings, but I do know that when He does, I will be so sad-- because I really do love being pregnant.

Dear Pink Slippers.... I believe in angels on earth. Are you one of them? I think you are. And you deserve a dozen cupcakes... populate the world with people who will grow up as you are... An angel mother.

Yes, each baby is such a miracle!!! Don't ever take it for granted (even though I know you never would) I am so thankful for my five blessings here and can't wait to meet my other 5 in heaven!!!!

Oh, yes, I loved being pregnant ... & thrilled with each new birth. Everyone relative & friend told me 'you should have a dozen' ... well, that was not to be ... medically & when our son was killed I could never face the possibility of another loss.

Our Lord has His way in holding us when we most need it, every second of our lives ... you are blessed that all is going well & the children are blessed to have parents as you.

You are very blessed many times over. I love having babies too. Many parts are not great or comfortable but the end result is a sweet gift from God. Congrats on yours.
