Garden of Eden

I have to say-- I absolutely LOVE gardening. When I first got married, my husband used to say I was a "plant murderer". How awful, right? Well it was true-- I had a 'black' thumb. Then lo and behold, we bought our first house (my home now) and I became truly ADDICTED to gardening. Roses, hydrangeas, and sod oh my! I could go to the Greenthumb (a nursery) and just walk around all day. I would tell the lil' ones that we were going on a 'field trip' to the nursery because they were tired of going. At one time, I kept buying flowers for my front yard even though I had no room to put anything. The way I fixed that was I went out into the backyard one morning in my pajamas and, yes slippers, and began digging. My husband asked me what I was doing, so I told him I needed a new place to garden. That was the beginning of making my backyard into a park and garden. My ideas, honey's labor. Thank you Sweetie! It is amazing how something ugly can become so beautiful. Isn't that what we all love to see? Sometimes I think we love gardens so much because of the Garden of Eden. Something that God established and created. He MUST love flowers, gardens and colors. Otherwise he would not of created the flowers we love so much. Smell the roses today. Enjoy what you have.

I wish I had the "gardening gift", but I just have never enjoyed it that much. I wish I did because it is so rewarding and downright good for your soul! FYI-our Target still has them (pink flip-flops) and a few other colors (blk and brown, I think). Dana

Yes, God definitely loves flowers and He was so kind to give us some many to choose from to put into our own little Eden's. Your garden and home look so charming. I love the color of your home (mine is yellow too) and the rose against that color are so lovely.

I love your garden. I also love gardening, but beware, if your husband sees that picture of him mowing the yard, next week it might be YOU!
