I'm So Excited!

The bathroom is coming along...I'm so excited-I just can't hide it!

My shower curtain came on Saturday, finally. The mail-lady must think I have no friends because of the way I greet her. I act like our dog when a visitor comes to the house except my tail doesn't wag.

My husband wasn't even close to finishing the tile and I had that baby up. My poor dear.

Next, I want to show you the tile that is almost done. Our problem was that we were stuck with a beige tub. The new toilet and basin we bought are white (the toilet is a whole other post). If it had been my choice, I wouldn't have chosen beige. But what are you gonna do? So we had to be creative and we added a little "bisque" tile to the white to blend the colors. Do you like it?

My last, but not least pictures are a child's 'oops'. When you have little kiddies running around-things get broken. Even the things that are hard to find and you just love. I found this soap dispenser at a thrift shop. Love it!

But it was sitting on the pedestal basin. Not a good place for it, but it was there.

One of the munchkins was using it and-- Boom! It fell to the floor.

I was going to throw it away, but my Sweety Love kept it. A few weeks later I was at Marshalls (love the store), when that big light bulb that we all have went off- I saw this cute corner accent and a brilliant thought came to me.

I bought it and brought it home. My honey spray painted it, hung it and I put a little pretty dish on it, put the soap dispenser in it and Voila! It works!

Next we have to seal the tile, buy shower doors and paint the wainscotting and new wood floors.

I think I like it! And my Sweetie for doing it all!

I think your bathroom looks great with the white & ivory tiles & I love the shower curtain!! I am in the process of redoing my hall bathroom. I had my hubby remove the boring mirror that I have hated for years...& I am replacing it with a mantle top!! I can't wait until it's finished...hubby is a "golfer" & hasn't had time to install it for me yet!!!lol
Love your blog...Sherry
