Every year the Church that we were sent out of--to Pioneer our baby church (got all that?) goes on a Marriage Retreat to a VERY VERY small beach town up North. Every year my Mother-In-law would stay at my home and watch the little Cupcakes. How does one sweet Grammy do that? Not easy, but she is amazing and coming from the oldest of an Irish family of seven, she can. But this year we are splitting up the marvelous growing basketball team--on our way to a baseball team. The boys to my parents..the girls to hubby's. The result is a MUCH needed rest for me, the Mama. And Daddy too. (But mostly ME.) One little twist: baby always comes on the trip. Every year for the past 5, we have had one of the Twinkies with us. I don't mind though my Lil' ones have been REALLY good (most of the time). So this year Hubby and me..and yes, Baby Lincoln will be staying in a lovely hotel room, dining out every meal (no dishes), sleeping in, listening to some GREAT messages about marriage (these are not boring, but usually humorous and dynamic), and doing absolutely NOTHING. Did I say NOTHING? Woohoo! I have a couple pre-scheduled posts so you can still get a little dose of my world.
Here is a picture of a rose from my garden and a note I found from Hubby Wubby. (He REALLY is trying to be romantic). Have a restful week--we all SHOULD ENJOY life a little, if not a lot.

Good Morning Wendy,
Thank you so much for my award...I have it displayed on my sidebar.
I hope you and hubby and baby have a wonderful time and get lots of rest, wonderful wisdom and of course some tasty food! Have fun!
Hugs,
LeAnn:)
Did he actually cut the note in a heart shape? Either way, how sweet! Have fun, may God bless your basketball team, and the coaches in charge, and most of all your divine marriage!! I LOVE YOU NEW'EST' HEADER!!!
Ah yes, there's always the baby tagging along! But that's what it's all about, right? Being a Mom means you don't get to leave your work at work ;)
The last time we went on a vacation was for our 10th anniversary, and even though I didn't have a baby in my arms (for the first time!), I was 9 months pregnant---so one came with me everywhere anyway :)
Now that the baby is growing up, I MAY get a vacation without anyone but me and Hubby---imagine that!?!
Hi Wendy....thanks for stopping by my house in the roses.... have a wonderful time with hubby and cute baby.... :)
