Yummy...

It's somebody's birthday very soon in my house...
This is a 'yummy recipe' given to me by my great cooking
mother-in-law. I ALWAYS bake it here to celebrate a special day.
A family favorite and a family tradition.

Pistachio Pudding Cupcakes (or cake)
1 pkg. White Cake mix
1 pkg. Pistachio pudding

1 cup Soda Water

1/2 cup oil

4 eggs

Bake as directed on box

Frosting

2 cups Whipping Cream
1 pkg. Pistachio Pudding

whip until thick

We love it here and hope you do too!

If I make a cake, I always use my bundt pan. For Easter I add pastel sprinkles and for Christmas I use red. Let me tell you...it looks REALLY cute, like a wreath.
Hope you try it and absolutely love it.

That's a favorite here too! Ask Auntie where she got the recipe---something tells me it's from my Mom's side of the family. Or maybe it's a French thing.... :)

Either way, it goes by "Green Cake" around here. I personally could eat it for every occasion (in mass quantities!), but not everyone here loves it like I do, except Caleb. He always asks for it for his birthday cake.

I like to put rinsed and dried maraschino cherries on top, and sometimes crushed ones in the batter----OH YEAH!

So, who's birthday's coming up?

Yum! Thanks for the recipe. I'll have to try it. We have several birthdays coming up. A new recipe will be a welcomed change from the standard chocolate cupcakes I make!

That does sound good. I try not to bake "goodies" much. It causes my kids to go bonkers or get crabby. LOL!

And it doesn't help my hips much. But maybe I'll have to try it. :)

Thanks for visiting my blog. :)

Hi..
Those cupcakes look so yummy and I love the Christmas idea~gonna try it:)

I like your little black cupboard...is your room black with pinks and blues? I need to see pics because my room has black accents and I am struggling with the whole look.

I will have full details of my surprise on Saturday~Sheri
