A Family Tradition

Every year we buy everyone (including Mommy-that's me & Daddy) a CHRISTmas ornament that represents them (or us) for the year. Usually we put them in the stockings but this year, I decided to do something a little different..I hung them over our dining room table where we eat all our meals together. The children love it!

I figure with 8 children and # 9 on the way + hubby & me+ 10 years =
100 new ornaments.
Will we be able to see our tree?

God bless you, dear lady. I'm sorry about your dad. I have prayed in agreement with you for a miracle.
I make or buy ornaments for all my kids and grandkids every year. The thing about it is that they get to take them when they leave for their own homes, so that thins out the numbers a bit.
My youngest grands started their own tradition of making me an ornament this year and plan to continue that.
I love seeing the old ornaments now, either on my tree or theirs. It's a really special feeling.

How smart!!!! The tree will be packed, and then you will send them off with their treasures, to do their own trees, and you'll be amazed at whats missing:)

What beautiful ornaments. I'll have to borrow this idea from you. Five years ago we redone our kitchen and hung two of the exact same chandiliers. Also wanted you to know I'm keeping your father in my prayers. I know easy it is to say I have faith and how very heart it is for the heart to belive it sometimes with what is going on in your life. We lost both of my husbands parents to cancer with in 5 months of each other a couple of years ago. My heart weeps for you but the Lord totally does give us strenght and miracles. Blessings to you and your family.

So cute! You will have to start packing some of them away, so they will have them for their own family trees one day!

I have creamy white tea cups hanging off of my chandlier but my kids would love to have ornaments hanging!
