I LOVE SOD!
When we bought our little sweet home, our backyard was half DIRT! Having a lot of very small children, I HATED dirt. (Actually, I still do, just don't tell my little guys, because then I wouldn't be a cool Mommy anymore). I wanted, craved and idolized grass. What made it worse was that we live in a agriculture beach community with several sod farms nearby-- Oh, the temptation! Occasionally, I would be driving down a country road and see a strip of sod lying strewn across the pavement after having fallen off the truck. I wish I could lie and tell you that I was courageous enough to pull my car over and pop those pieces of green roadkill into the back, but I can't say that. I imagine that part of me would never want anyone to actually see me engaged in such an unbecoming act. Perhaps, if I were just a bit more desperate...
My hubby on ,the other hand, likes grass seed much more. Honestly, I think it's due to the price difference(what I really mean is that he's cheap!). He's patient enough to wait for the grass to come in, while I'd much rather have an instant lawn.
Well, there is one stubborn spot in our backyard where the doggies like to dig. The children use it as a cover for their own digging and dirt throwing-- usually all over the back patio, I might add. So I did the only thing I could do in order to preserve my sanity and my kid's (I'M KIDDING!)lives-- I BOUGHT SOD!
Problem fixed! But now my little sweeties want to know where they are suppose to dig. Sorry Cupcakes, your Mommy LOVES grass, not dirt!

Thanks for stopping my madhouse, er, blog!
You remind me of my MIL (mother in law) with your love of the color pink. My kids tell her that she has "pinkitis"! :)
Congrats on #7!
We ended up having 9 kids in 13 years. Whew...
You and me both! I love grass... AZ heat kills the soft grass and we grow crab grass~ which is the only sun loven' grass around here... so I seriously covet silky soft grass especially on my bare feet!
Hi Wendy :)
I totally agree! I just don't have the patience and we have dogs that like to dig.

Tell the little ones that grass is so much more fun to play with. lol. Our grass seeds are finally growing and I really didn't didn't think they would with the chickens running around and plucking them all up. But they did!
