Little boys getting ready for churchLittle girls getting ready for churchDaddy getting ready for churchParker & Lincoln getting ready for churchTo some, we might look like a well-oiled machine of a family. But can a family with 7 little children, 9 and under, be as calm, perfect and happy as we might look on this blog? Doubt it. I mean, you should see the hardwood floors under our kitchen table after dinner, or all of us getting ready for church in our 1,000 sq ft cottage with only 1 bathroom (yes 1!), or me 'quitting' on just the first day of homeschooling... Oy ve!

Stick with it! It will pay off in the end, and it will all be second nature and you'll forget all about the days that are so hard to get into a routine and keep everybody else QUIET!!!!

Ever notice how loud we say that word sometimes?

I'm glad you've taken pictures of your little ones getting ready for church. Church is the best place we can ever take them.

There are only four of us and some Sundays it seems like a huge chore to get to church on time.

If i was wearing a hat I would take it off to you. Bless you and I am sure that it is overwhelming at times but your family is gorgeous. You seem to be a wonderful Mom. Hugs :)

I had to laugh because we had a
(1100sq ft) 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage home when we adopted my first two children. It became to small very FAST! We ended up adding 1000 sq ft to the back right before we adopted our third. Sometimes even with the addition it's too small. So kudos to you for being able to handle sweet little cupcakes in such a small house. I do have to say though that it's super cute and I LOVE your bedding. Did you get it at Target? I love reading about your life! -kriss

Real life stuff!

Hold on to what it true and let go of the rest!

As for homeschooling - they don't have to know everything all in one year or one day. It will come - you will find your way. I have been at it for 16 years, and have graduated 2 with 4 more kids to go! I wouldn't trade it for the world...even on the tough days. On those days, pick a great book, climb up on the biggest bed and read, read, read. Talk about what you've read. Paint a picture about it. Go on a nature walk and look at rocks and bugs and shells and pinecones. Listen to great music. Have fun learning.
