not me.

I did not pay to have my hair cut only to come home and re-cut it myself because I thought it was uneven. Nope, not me!I did not wash all my bedding just to have the baby's diaper blow-up the next morning and I had to rewash everything. Nope, not me!
I did not keep very calm when my husband broke all my porcelain flower knickknacks (on accident) when he bumped into their cabinet. Nope, not me!

(my beautiful broken knickknacks)

I did not think of the scripture about storing up treasures here on earth to keep me from not 'freaking out' about all the years it took me to have a really nice collection of those pretties. Nope, not me!

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

Matthew 6:19

I did not ignore the fact that the very next day he broke my beautiful pink hurricane lamp while painting my room. Nope not me!

(my broken hurricane lamp)

I did not become prideful for one tiny moment because I had remained calm and did not have a flip out on my sweet hubby (because I can be like that). Nope, not me!

haha! Calm is not the word I would describe myself if those things had happened to me!

Calm would have been a difficult aspiration in those moments! Glad you could breathe and then find it entertaining enough to share with us!

Oh it's tough to remain calm when those things happen, isn't it? And LOVED the diaper blow out!

I'm so sorry for your losses...that is sad! I know how that is to have things get broken. Your hair looks very pretty! (And so does Ruby!)
Love, Jerelene

I can identify with the hair cutting thing...I've done it myself!
As for your hubby, he sounds like my son-in-law...he's forever breaking something of my daughter's. Ha! Guess ya' gotta' love 'em anyway :) Enjoyed your post very much...Blessings, Kathy

Tell your hubby to stay away from breakables LOL. You have incredible grace under pressure =)

Some of those things would have been easy to be calm, but the knick knacks not sure I would have been as good as you. Now I know they are only posessions but when you are my age they are also long time memories. Your photo is adorable.

Pop over and add your name for my giveaway.

Oh Boy!! Now take my advise after 40+ years of "wedded bliss"...
When hubby is working in or around breakables put them away for awhile.
I actually break more collectables than he does because I do more of the inside fixits.
Hugs & Smiles,

Sounds like you had quite a week. Maybe, just maybe, you should move your breakables to a safe place while DH works, love his heart! Way to handle it though girl!

OH NO!!! I hate when things that I have been collecting get broken!!! Before children I collected tea cups. A few have gotten broken but my new motto has been, "Well I really liked that BUT now that gives me an excuse to go buy a new one!"

God has a plan...and it looks like maybe he wants you to do some broken china mosaics!
I had to go back through the Pink Saturday blogs to find yours. I stopped by for the first time last week and I'll be linking to you for that link to someone new tomorrow. What a cute blog you have. :) Nancy
