my brother, my husband, my husband's brother
{all three are pastors}

my husband during worship
{waiting to give our church's praise report}

my brother preaching at the conference

Lincoln sat with us for all 12 sermons
{He was surprisingly well-behaved}

my husband led worship for a morning service & a night one
{I didn't take a picture of the evening one}

All 9 of us commuted for the morning service, then returned home for lunch.
We napped, showered and were back on the road for the evening service.
A 60 minute drive each way.

The kids loved it!

The scenic drive was not too shabby either.
{one of the most beautiful stretches of highway in the country}

And with all the cousins there,
the boys had a little time to arm wrestle in the pews.

This was our Harvesters Homecoming, a time when pioneer pastors and their families return home from the field as heroes. There was a pastor's wives luncheon to encourage the women behind the scenes who make it all happen, and who get hardly any recognition at all {my husband's words, not mine...}. There was late night fellowshiping as we hung out with our pastor and the other pioneers from places like Tucson, Venice Beach, and Guatemala City. There were coffee and donut breaks to enjoy between powerful messages, and of course, all the catching up and story telling that you could imagine. We were tired at the end of it all, but the recharging of our batteries and the renewing of our vision should last us till the next conference-- June 2010 and counting!
