overflowing.

On Sunday after church, we headed south to gather with both my sister's and brother's families at my parent's home.

Behold-- a gorgeous Christmas bulb named Ruby!

Everyone was gloriously arrayed in Christmas splendor, giddy with excitement in anticipation of gift-wrapped treasures and the fun they would have with their cousins.

The spirit of 'goodwill towards all men' was truly alive as all the cousins got along remarkably well and very few tears of selfishness were shed.

How could we fail to remember whose birth we were celebrating?
The kids all chimed in for a boisterous rendition of "Happy Birthday to Jesus!"

Songs of Christmas echoed through the house and even the little ones were encouraged (rather strongly) to join in as well.

Even though everything is not perfect, and my heart is heavy due to my dad's sickness, I know that I and my family are extremely and abundantly blessed.

It was one of those wonderful, near-perfect, days which give us a glimpse of the joy and contentment that awaits us on the other side.

Merry Christmas.

What fun, Wendy! Your kids are adorable. You could pick each one out in a crowd because they all look just alike! Baby Ruby is a doll. You have been blessed by so much of God's goodness! Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas and new year.
