camping.

Kelly, over at Kelly's Korner,
is hosting Show Us Your Life Friday:
Show us Your Kid's Birthday Parties!

(I know....we are buying a new net)

My boys planned this really great idea.

A boys birthday camp-out sleepover.

They refuse to call it a slumber party.

Boys don't have slumber parties I was told (cuz that's for girls).

It was a raging success. It was fun. It was tiring. It was wild. It was cool.

After it was over, I was blessed to go to lunch with a few ladies from church at a good Mexican restaurant. What a treat it was after the all boy, back yard camping trip.

For the party, my husband bought a fire pit for toasting marshmallows.

This turned out to be one of the great hidden benefits.

I am ecstatic!

Until next year.....
Yes, they want to do it all over again.

I love it! You guys are some brave parents! It sounds like something I would say yes to and then when it actually happens, I ask myself, What was I thinking?
I told the kids we could sleep in sleeping bags on the trampoline over the summer. And it is all they talk about and I am already trying to figure how to modify the plan. lol

I am going to echo the prior comment: you are BRAVE! It looks like that bravery paid off because everyone is obviously having so much fun.

Looks like fun! I would have enjoyed that kind of campout party too, and I was quite a girly girl!
