bye bye pink car seat

For almost the whole first month of my life, my mommy and daddy made me ride in a pink car seat. Since they didn't know that I was going to be a boy, they decided to wait on buying a baby boy car seat. Then Mommy had to find the 'perfect' one just for me. Of course, the one she liked was a little expensive and not available online yet. So I had to wait.

I guess they weren't trying to see things from my perspective. I don't know how you may feel about that, but for a one month old-- being a boy and all-- it can be very traumatizing. Someone may have said that "real" men wear pink, but that person obviously didn't know what they were talking about, or maybe they were trying to seem open-minded. Unfortunately, for a baby boy in a car seat, that's the quickest way for someone to get gender-confused and mistake me for a yucky girl. Not on your life!

Thankfully, mommy found a special ticket on her computer and told my daddy that this was a great deal that she didn't want to miss-- I haven't been around very long, but something tells me that she says that a lot... Anyway, to make a long story short, the UPS man brought this big box to my home and before we got it all the way in the house, mommy was tearing it open. I think she had become aware of my pain and was trying to relieve it as quickly as possible. With scissors flashing, packing tape and cardboard were slashed open to reveal this magnificent wonder-- no, I'm not talking about me this time. I mean the car seat. What do you think? Mommy thinks the pattern is so manly and elegant. Daddy just looked, blinked and said, "that's cool." And me? I just thank God that He's faithful and He provided.

What a sweet, sweet baby!

His car seat is quite nice and hopefully he won't remember the few months he had to ride in the pink one!
