At Last Continued

At my husband's very strong urging, I had to go to the mattress store with him.

We needed to lay down on some queens in order to see if this would be a workable situation for the next 7-8 years, he reasoned. I knew he was right, but I hated the idea of laying on a bunch of mattresses in a store while some salesperson stands by watching and waiting. But some things just cannot be avoided.

After spending and hour at one store and then another half hour at another store, I was tempted to be discouraged, but the truth was that a couple of things had become quite clear. First, I knew I wanted to stick with a king (my husband was ecstatic since he wouldn't have to fork over more money for a new queen size frame and sheet sets). Second, I realized that although the thought of a latex bed was very appealing because of it's resistance to bugs, germs and mold, I didn't have to get one (as long as mattress and boxspring covers were included in the deal). And third, I wanted a very firm bed. Extra firm, as a matter of fact.

So back home we went, and back onto the computer to find the best deal. After hours of research and phone calls, I found what I wanted, but I was not all that confident to order a mattress on-line.

Since a saleswoman at one of the stores had been extremely helpful to us, we figured we'd give her a chance to match the price before we made a final purchase. We weren't trying to jam her-- we just wanted to give her the opportunity to come close. Not only did she give us a terrific deal, but she also threw in the mattress cover kit as well. And-- we got it delivered the next day free of charge. I couldn't believe it.

Now, I just can't wait to get my pajamas on, get under the covers, and cuddle with my husband. And I do want to thank God, because we prayed for help in making the right decision, narrowing down the choices, and getting us a quality product at a reasonable price. He is Great!

My husband also was extremely thankful since I got something I really wanted for less than half of what I had originally demanded. He would agree that he got a really good deal-- and not only that, but the woman who sold us the mattresses, actually came to church the next day!

Unbelievable...

Yay! We're going to get a kingsize bed soon and I can't wait!

And that's awesome that the saleswoman joined you at church :)

Ugh. We switched from King to Queen last February. Worst, and I mean WORST thing we ever did. We had no idea how much smaller a Queen was. (Yay for doing your homework!)
