vacation excitement.

Well I got my camera-- and the battery light is flashing. Who would've thought that maybe I should keep my battery charger in my camera bag for times like this. Hopefully, it will last long enough to take a few pictures of the kids playing in the pool. Fingers crossed.

Yesterday started out a little frightening. We were going to head out and pick up a few groceries at Costco. So we all piled into our big white van with everyone's seat belts fastened only to find out that it wouldn't start. Ugh.

"Oh no, please. Not now," was the first thing that rushed through my mind. Battery drained? Bad alternater? Starter no good? Outta gas? The engine was turning over, but was cutting out immediately and the security light was flashing. Thankfully it happened here at our hotel and not in the Costco parking lot with cold groceries and 8 small children. And 105 degree weather.

The AAA guy came and everything checked out fine. My husband said that when he went out, it started right up. It's been working fine since, so it kinda remains a mystery at this time.

After getting our errands done and a bunch of food items for the week, we've been poolside ever since.

Today, all the cousins arrived at our hotel. All 12 of them. My kids are super happy. Tonight our Bible conference starts. 17 sermons await this week. In all honesty, we really do look forward to this time of year. We schedule our calendar by the dates of our conference (and other church events as well) not the academic year or the seasons themselves.

The best part of all this is that most of our family is here too.

I LOVE that she is laughing so hard she's losing her pacifier :) That shows just how happy she is.

Have fun at the pool this week and the conference!
