ten things you might hear me say to pearl.

1. Pearl, please put Jasper down
2. Pearl, please leave Jasper alone.
3. Pearl, please let Jasper out of your room.
4. Pearl, Mommy is not trying to be mean, but he isn't a pretend baby.
5. Pearl, please stop touching Jasper.
6. Pearl, Jasper doesn't want you to hold him.
7. Pearl, he's crying because he wants you to let go of him.
8. Pearl, please get away from Jasper.
9. Pearl, please stop picking Jasper up.
10. Pearl, no more hugging Jasper.

After reading these requests you might think I'm the meanest mom, but then again, you don't know my Pearl. She LOVES Jasper. I really mean that she LOVES him so much that she forgets he's a real baby who wants to run and play-- not just be held, carried, coddled, and smothered. And all day long, Pearl is hands on Jasper: Her own personal baby.

Haha this sounds just like me ALL DAY LONG with my 4-yr old daughter and her 1-yr old baby sister! Most of the time little sis is A-ok with being toted around the house, but she draws the line at being undressed and redressed several hundred times :)
