busted.

A couple of weeks ago, we needed to do some videotaping of life at our church for our upcoming bible conference.

Did I get a little crazy and put on my movie director hat?...you bet.

Will the final version to be viewed at the conference include only a very brief segment of all the video I submitted?...you bet.

But enough about me.

It's pretty funny when you think you know how your kids act in children's church. I mean, everyones kids are perfect right? Well, I thought mine were. Kinda. Not really.

But the funniest thing occurred when Chris and I were screening all the footage to be sent in--

One of our perfect little angels was caught being super foolish to one of their teachers in children's church. It just so happened that Parker was recording the kids as they worked on a project with their teacher.

He was doing such a wonderful job that our other kids forgot he was there and Parker was able to capture them in their normal element. Unfortunately for one young lady, he caught her at her worst. It happened so quickly that you would've missed it if you blinked...

Our sweet {tough girl} Sophia had asked the teacher a question about a word puzzle. He leaned over to look at her paper and as he began to answer, Sophia suddenly erupted, in close proximity to his face, yelling, "OKAY!"

I guess that even as he replied, Sophia also realized what the answer was and didn't want him taking credit for it. Or then again, who knows what a kid is thinking when they act completely foolishly.

And as her parent I was horrified. HORRIFIED.

And yet in some weird, twisted way I thought it was funny. But don't tell Sophia.

I just couldn't stop laughing out loud every time I replayed the incident-- in my mind, I kept asking myself, "What on earth could she possibly be thinking-- I mean, seriously.
