A Secret Admirer in the Family

Be My Valentine

I know it's a little early, but we really started to feel the love around here, so I decided we'd put together some homemade Valentine's.

First, I thought it would be cute to put everyone's name in a pink bowl and have a drawing. The name you pulled would be your Valentine making you "a special someone's secret admirer". The catch was to keep it a secret-- an impossibility in our house! So I took out all the glitter, glue, gems & anything else that would stick...
And everyone began to pour out their creative juices into their special card.
Everyone was trying to keep theirs hidden while cutting, gluing, and decorating.
It was really fun.
I was able to peek or else how would I have gotten a picture for you to see.
If the truth be told, not all of my ideas work out as well as this one did, but I think this one's a keeper and will become a household tradition for years to come. Oh, and besides, it insures that even if my husband forgets, at least I'll get a card from someone!

What a fun activity. I loved looking at the pictures. Today I read your sidebar. It is really nice and you did a good job on what you chose for it. I will add you to my prayer list as Pastor's wives can always use a little extra prayer.
Have a Smily Day!

Great idea! I love all the valentines they made.

Thanks for your comment on my blog~I appreciate really it!

P.S.

Can you imagine that, next time you have a garage sale, you cannot sell your kids old toys, clothes or shoes? We need to get the word out about this so the proper ammendments can be made to the law!

Ooooh...your sweet post makes me miss those days when my kids were little! I loved having them home. The projects we did and trips we took together so impacted both of our children and made them more home/family oriented adults. Enjoy every minute with your little ones because before you know it you'll be buttoning wedding dresses and pinning on boutonnieres!
