I Miss My PickleChips!

Don't laugh..I'm serious. My big, lazy porch sleeping cat, PickleChips, has been wooed by another. This happened last summer too. Some lonely cat-loving soul decides that they want to start feeding my big boy and his loyalty goes out the door. It's notrsious! And don't think we don't love and feed him here-- That guy won't even eat the food out of his bowl unless it's fresh. And that means filling his dish about 5 times a day (No joke). And love? He gets lots of that too. Last year, he went a missing for a week. I put out signs and looked everywhere, everyday. One day I pleaded with my hubby to pray that my PickleChips would come home. I was leaving to pick up some little kiddos and an hour later when I returned the orange fellow was on my front porch. No lie! Well, you better believe it.. I prayed, my older little ones prayed, and then I e-mailed hubby to pray once more. You see, I really love that cat. I take great satisfaction in looking out my window and seeing him asleep, sprawled out on the porch, unfazed by the busy activity around him. He is my southern, lazy, front porch hound disguised in a big orange fuzzy cat body. Oh, where are you PickleChips? Whoever has won his heart, I want them to know that it will only last a short moment. His heart belongs to me and my children. I just know it. He'll leave you faster than he left me. For now, I'll pray (really) and wait....

I'm sorry! We've had kitties do this too. And on the other side, when they show up at your house, you don't know their history, and if you should love them because they are homeless OR leave them alone so they will go back home. (we once had a little neighbor girl who woed all my kitties INSIDE her house with wet cat food:). I love the lesson you are teaching your children, that nothing is small enough that it is not worthy of going to God for. Blessings to you and your kitty cat!

Animals are such a big part of our lives, sometimes we take them for granted, but then when one of them goes missing....oh how we wish for them home! Let us know what happens!

No way can PickleChips stay away from your sweet porch and that adorable pink wicker bed! I'm sending up a prayer RIGHT NOW for his return!

Oh I laughed when you said you have to close the closet , me too , I can't sleep with it open , nor can I stand it during the day , too messy to look at even when it is clean , I am glad to hear I am not the only one.

Sending prayers that PickleChips comes home. I think this is where the term Tom Catting Around may come from. He may have a lady friend.

Oh Wendy...I'm so sorry about Mr. PickleChips. I remember once when one of my furbabies was missing, she was locked in a neighbor's car. Boy was she happy when we found her! I am sending a prayer up for his safe return!

By the way, what a cozy porch you have...love the cat castle!

Please keep us posted about PickleChips...

Waiting for the Boy/Girl news, too...

I hope he is back meanwhile ! I had the same with my cat Arthur (see my my cat blog) ) Somebody had "kidnapped" him and after 4 days he was suddenly back again, well fed and not thirsty at all. And we were near a nervous breakdown ! As he is white, everybody knows him in the neighborhood. We guess a child kept him in his room until the parents found out. Wish you good luck !

Oh my, I sure hope Miss Picklechips comes back home! I also have a cat and I can't let it outside because of hawks and wild animals we have around here. So I keep it safe inside next to me! I would just die if it came up missing! I hope no one is holding your Miss Picklechips against her will inside their house! She will come back soon! Power of prayer is awesome!
