Ice cream extravaganza

As a reward for a year (our first year!) of homeschooling completed, we asked the kids what they would like to do to celebrate. They came up with ice cream and a movie-- and what kid wouldn't like that! We had caramel and strawberry syrups, all kinds of sprinkles, wafer cookies, and maraschino cherries in order for the kids to create their edible masterpieces. Afterwards, we projected a movie onto the wall in the kid's bedroom and hooked it up to the stereo for movie quality sound-- who needs a flat screen!! To say the least, the night was a raging success.

What a great idea they had!! I'm so glad your first year went well. We are in our 5th year, and even with one it is a challenge sometimes!! Can't imagine it with more!! We are schooling thru the summer and are including my niece who is public-schooled. She is enjoying it a lot.

Have a joyful week!! You inspire me!!
Blessings,
Becky
