Where's the TV?

We don't have one (really). Instead we have a backyard with a trampoline, see-saw, a tree house fort, swing set, two dogs, a cat, great neighbor friends, uno cards, bikes, tricycles, lots of books, candyland, go fish, legos (lots of legos), slip-n-slide, hungry hungry hipppos, puzzles, dolls, bionicles and a cool Daddy and a loving Mommy. Most of all we have each other and we know how to have fun!
And the little sweeties actually like each other.

Oh Honey! I just love the one poking his head out of the tree tops. That is precious, and your binky boy in the pic reminds me of my youngest son when he was little. He too was a binky boy. It is so wonderful to see the children play as a group. That's what is so nice about a big family. You always have someone to play with. Thanks for sharing. Hows the baby and you getting along? Great post. Please stop by and say hi. Country Hugs, Sherry

Good for your family not giving into television. When we first moved back to small town America we were without television around a month. I read more and got a ton done! However, we gave in and hooked it up and the one thing I've realized with having it again we sure waste a lot of time with it. I'm still making the Renegades read like we were without it.

When I was a little girl in the 1950's my friends & I played outside from sunrise to sunset in the summer. We played in the woods & fields, rode bike & went to the library. In the winter we rode sleds until our little fingers & toes just about froze off. No TV for us... We had one but we didn't give a hoot about it.
Glad to see your children are this way & not glued to TV or internet games. Kudo's to you both!!

I would love to be able to give up watching TV. Don't know if I can since me and hubby are TV addicts. Your post has inspired me to try harder.

That is so awesome! I love when to hear about families that have turned their back on TV! We had TV when my kids were growing up, but we are lucky to live in an great neighborhood (in IL) that was full of kids. They played from sun up to sun down and on rainy days they were either at our house or down the street. They all grew up together & we are all still very close. I was blessed with great kids & a wonderful neighborhood to raise them. Hooray for you!

What a sweet picture of the three girls. No T.V. now thats great, a lot of moms these day use the TV as a babysitter. I love it when the kids are playing outside, making up games and riding their bikes. Good old fashion fun.
Take care and enjoy your day,
Elizabeth
