I went shopping

Well at least from my love seat.
This is what I purchased today.

I absolutely love shopping on line. Why? Because I am not limited to only what the store has in stock, availability in color, texture or size. It's a lot like having a million catalogs to look through at Christmas time. Better yet, it's like having a piece of something custom-made to suit me. And sometimes it is. What I like next about online shopping is the excitement generated through waiting for my parcel to arrive. I have always been the type who anxiously anticipates the mail lady's arrival. Looking back, I realize that I was like this even at a young age. I guess I should've been a mail lady. But as much as I'd like to cyber-shop till I drop, I've learned restraint and that in everything, there must be balance. The balance of staying in my budget and not buying compulsively. It hasn't always been easy since-- I'm a women and I like buying for my children and buying pretty things for myself (my husband does not want me to spend my budget on him). And today I did just that: Stayed within my budget and began to look forward to that big brown squeaky UPS truck stopping in front of my little house. When he stops on my block all my children run to the window each time to see what house he is going to. I wonder where they learned that from?

I love online shopping too but the shipping charges are a killer...so how do you do that?
For example I bought a cookbook for $17 and by the time shipping was added on it cost 24$.......

My husband takes the older boys out for breakfast a couple times a month and they do some devotions from Boyhood and Beyond together. It is a special time for them. I just got them Created for Work this past summer at a homeschool conf. Sounds like fun waiting for the package to arrive:)
Blessings on your day!
