big brother, please read us a story

When things start to get a little hectic and chaotic around here, you might hear this command uttered: "Everybody get a book and sit on the couch". It's a favorite when it is getting a little chaotic and calmness is required. It is a favorite secret weapon which keeps Mommy from going insane. It's especially effective when we're all getting ready to go somewhere and the children are running around like a band of wild Indians. When some children are ready and some are still running around going potty or finding a shoe. Everyone is included from Lincoln the 1 year to Parker the 9 year old. They are all supposed to grab a book or two and find a comfy place on the couch in order to regain their composure. It's officially called "The Containment Policy".

I ended up here via blog frog- that's the coolest widget!

However, I may stop by again since we seem to share some common interests (if you don't mind) My hats off to you on the homeschooling gig. It takes a lot of organization and patience to do that but the vast majority of homeschool Moms I know do a fabulous job.

Enjoy the slippers!
