pearl & me.

I'm not sure if it comes with the territory, but I am hardly ever seen in any pictures of the family. It must be in my genetics because my Mom suffered from the same condition: Missing In Photos Syndrome a.k.a. MIPS. Don't misunderstand me...my husband, the kid's Daddy, takes great pictures, but he just doesn't grab the camera at every single tiny movement the kids make like....um...I do. I blame that on him being a man.

I'm not complaining at all. I would hardly consider myself to be self absorbed or narsisstic (With 7 children, that's nearly impossible), so I'm ok with not being in very many {almost none} of the pictures of my children while they are young. Someday they may ask where their Mommy was if all their memories of being in front of the camera every waking {and sleeping} moment somehow became erased and all they had left were the pictures. But I don't think so. Chances of that are slim.

But... it would be nice occasionally to be in a picture or two. And so-- as I hold back any self- respect, Pearl and I had some fun. Pearlie was supposed to be napping and I was supposed to be helping her fall asleep, but I had my camera and started acting goofey with her. Here's to Pearl and Mommy. Just so my kids can remember that I was there too.

Seems like that's just part of being a Mommy being behind the camera.

What a great idea just fooling around photos. Jazzy and I did a photo at the chuck E cheese drawing box so we'd have one of us together. Those are fun to do too!

Have a fantastic day!

I think it's adorable!

And the MIPS is why I started participating in the 52 week photo posts, simply so I'd force myself to be in the photos at least once a week!
