capes.

Mam {my Mom..the children's grandma} Rocks!
Thanks Mam!
You turned a morning with 7 tired children

from Uncles Jimmy's revival service {getting home at midnight}
into a morning of laughs and happy children.

On the side:

Tonight and tomorrow morning, we are hosting a marriage retreat at our church. Married couples from our 'mother church' will be driving up for a little over night get-away, and to hear some good preaching from my pastor {who is not my husband} on having a good marriage and raising godly children.
Last night, we ran errands with the family, going to Costco for a few sweet treats for the meetings, and then to the party store to buy some fun, cute, Valentines decorations to put in the church. One of the things we really enjoy about this Valentine's weekend retreat is that both my brother and my husband's brother and their wives will be attending. We usually go out to eat and it really doesn't matter much where we go, it's just that since they pastor churches also-- we can all relate to the stresses of working jobs, being in full-time ministry and raising young families. Usually, we have a few much needed laughs, a great time of fellowship and end up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world once again. Each of our brothers and their families are over an hour away from us, so we cherish the times when we get to see them.

I LOVE the capes. What a thoughtful grandma. They also look easy to make. This gives me a great idea. Most of the time I find my kids tying blankets to each others neck and running through out the house playing super heros.
