parks.

I've heard rumors of mythical parks existing in towns of faraway lands that are always packed with kids. Everyday. Rain or shine... We don't have that here. I'm not sure if it's due to lots of working parents, Navy families or parents that are too busy to venture out with their kids.

Fortunately my children love going to parks and when we arrive it's like bringing your own gang of kids to play with.

Some months ago a new park was built and opened near our home-- and it's really nice. We finally had some time to stop and invade and inspect. Right now, I think it's my favorite park and there was a steady flow of children coming and going.

The best part was that Daddy got to come along on his day off. Lincoln and Pearl had a blast running free and wild, while Ethan had a few accidents inflicted by his older brother-- but that isn't anything new. He's a good sport about it. I think he subscribes to the philosophy that whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

And I had fun snapping away.

Love your pictures.

I'm following you on blogfrog. I saw your question about what makes a mega large family. As a mom of seven...I'll tell you that it doesn't feel that big!

Ahh, I miss those kinds of playgrounds. I'd love to have something like that for my kids but there is nothing like that here in India. Playgrounds here are not maintained and are usually broken and crowded. The slides are most dangerous, being placed at too steep an angle.

A fun playground is one of the simple joys of childhood.

What a fantastic park! I'd love to have one like that close to home. Your site is darling too!
