a family tradition.

We love family traditions. And with a growing family, as each child reaches an age becoming aware of their surroundings, the old things we do are still new to some. Even the older ones have new perspectives this time around-- the way they look at things and the way they now interact.
They have become the seasoned veterans instructing the fledglings-- watch how I do this...

I know it's just buying a few fireworks, but my husband lets them all pick something out and give their input. This can be dangerous, asking kids what to buy when one of the fireworks packages cost over $500. Some things you just don't ask for. And the children learn this.

On the ride home, they ask to hold the ones they picked out. Not a good idea when little guys try to "unwrap" the package and find out what's inside.

On this little two hour trip, Mommy and Daddy always stop to get a coffee. The kids know this part of the event as well. All part of the tradition.

That is a nice tradition. Here in the highly regulated state of NY, it is illegal to buy fireworks!

We are a family as well that specializes in traditions...and to veer from them would do us psychological damage LOL....our family thrives on all the traditions passed on...great post!!!

Have a blessed weekend.

We love traditions! Every July 4th We also allow our kids to pick out something. We give a $5 limit peer child. If we didn't I could not imagine how much it would be! :)
Have a safe and blessed 4th!
