commuting.

Driving back and forth from Bible conference this week has taken a little toll on this mommy of 8 little people. I'm tired.

It's really not the getting up early part or getting home pretty late part, but it's the laying in bed and thinking that I have to wake up in 6 hours when I am trying to go to sleep that keeps me awake and makes me a mess.

Basically, I'm fretting over what I have to do instead of getting some much needed rest.

{Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34}

Thinking about waking up 8 small children (when we've been out late the night before) getting them dressed, fed and out the door by 8am can make a mama brain overload. Never mind getting all the binkies, shoes, outfits and bottles together. I know that I have some responsible older kids whom I can delegate some of this stuff to and hubby helps a lot, but someone's still got to check it.

But I love being a Mommy to all these children. Each one being a different spice to make our family so full of variety and life. We love church as a family. We love God as a family. And we love that we will be adding another blessing in April.

The kids all look forward to these trips back and forth for Bible conference because they see familiar faces and lots of cousins. I also love seeing what God is doing in my kid's lives as my oldest listens to the sermons and heads to the altar.

Life is good.

Phew! I can't imagine being in your position! I have a hard time getting three kiddos and myself out the door by 8!

Every. Single. One. of your babies are beautiful! I love how you referred to them as "spices"! How sweet is that?!

I'm a brand new follower (: I love your blog!...and the fact that you love the Lord! HE is Good!!!

Imagine if you had to do that every day to send them off to school or daycare! Our house is craziness sometimes (we have a 4,2,1 yr old with #4 due in April) but I am grateful that our mornings are slow-paced; we don't have preschool or other commitments we have to be at regularly. I could not imagine trying to be out the door at an early time every single day! Making it to Sunday morning service at 8am once a week is enough to convince me of that :)
