i am a mommy.

1. Being a wife and Mommy are the most important callings of my life and they should be the top priority for any married woman with children, not career.

2. Every Mommy should have a vision for her family. Both short and long term. What are we doing in today's lessons? What's on the calendar this month? What can I do to train my child to grow up loving and serving God in a dynamic way? What can I impart that will influence my child in how they eventually choose a spouse, a career?... What can we do to grow close and encourage harmony in our family? How can I support my husband in decisions he needs to make for our family?

3. Your best friend should be your husband. And you should be your husband's. If this is not the case, then someone is closer to you than him. And if that is true, then God must have made a mistake, because He said that the two shall become one. And if you're one with someone, there can be no one closer. Or should not be.

4. Without God, you will never experience the satisfaction and fulfillment intended for you as a wife and mommy. He created these institutions therefore knowing Him and knowing what He wants from you within those callings is the best way to be the most successful and satisfied.

5. All my children are home with me all day long. And I like it that way. I don't want someone else spending more time with my kids on a daily basis than I do.

6. I believe that as their Mommy, I am also best equipped to be the most important and influential teacher they could have.

You're very straight forward and to the point on this, and I have to say I agree!

What a beautiful family! The Lord has definitely been good to you! I'd love for our family to be the same size one day, but it's all in His hands. :-)

Your points rung true with me. Thanks for sharing them!
