outside.

On some days (especially with the great weather), going outside to play may start as early as 7:30 in the morning.

One of the first things Jasper says when he wakes up is "out". Meaning out back.

We are the kind of family that can spend the whole day playing, having adventures or just relaxing in the back yard.

I am often heard telling my Hubby that we have so many things outside (sometimes too much) that it's a childs playground dream right here in our own backyard.

And being able to sit outside watching and playing with my kiddos is what I would consider a perfect day.

It's those kind of days that makes all those not so glamorous days fade into the distant past.

I want my children to grow up remembering me sitting with them watching them play, looking each time they yell, "Mommy, look!" as they do their zillionth trampoline flip.

Or remember me giving them pots and pans from the kitchen so they can create make believe food and drinks.

I don't want to miss these days. Mostly when my twelve year old is already taller then me (I'm 5'5").

My kids don't care if the bathroom is clean or not like I do. They just want their Mommy to be involved in their laughter and tears.

Love this post! We are an outdoors-as-soon-as-breakfast-is-over kind of family too. After four kids, I've learned to embrace the sweat and dirt, the bugs and water. I can always shower- my children will not always be young. Summer days are the best!

Great Post! We are an outdoor family too. Here in the Canadian Prairies after the cold winter months Summer is a treat and I don't want to miss a minute of it or the joy on my children's faces as they catch lady bugs, chase bubbles or play in the sand.

Thank you for this reminder.
