pearl is 5.

Speaking of birthdays-- Pearl turned five yesterday.

Her birthday list included the typical girlie things like make-up (because she and Ruby used up all the make-up she got at Christmas), art supplies, a ballerina hooded bath towel, a pink clamp-on lamp for reading in bed, and going shopping at Claire's and the Disney Store.

Since none of these were big ticket items, we were able to get all of it.

Every year, the Disney Store is at the top of her list-- she really just wants to leisurely walk around and look at all the stuff. She ended up getting a keychain for her dance bag on clearance for 5o¢, an Ariel ball for a few dollars and a Belle doll for $15 and a Pluto stuffed animal for around $12.

She also wanted pizza, a pink/strawberry cake and ice cream. When Daddy got home from work, she yelled at him from the back door that this had been 'the best day' because she got to go on the slip-n-slide with her brothers and sisters.

If only we adults could appreciate the little things with the joy and innocence of a child.

Wow you guys have a clump of birthdays don't you? What's the longest stretch you go without them?
Love how she's holding Pluto away from the candles! :)

I love that "good tired" feeling you get from back-to-back parties; it's like your hopped up on love!
