ten years.

Friday was our 10 year anniversary.

With our nine children washed, fed and quietly busy in the house, my husband planned a romantic take-out sushi dinner in our backyard on our freshly stained redwood picnic table, complete with soft jazz, dessert and fire for the two of us to share.

My favorite was the bouquet of flowers he secretly picked with Sophia from our garden and placed in a pretty red bottle. I love him so much.

And I am thankful for wonderful children who made us a 10th anniversary banner and enjoyed going out of their way to help make the day and evening special for us just because they love us.

SWEET!! I love it when our children plan (or help plan) special romantic times for their dad and I. It helps them see that real romance isn't like the movies, BUT real romance is from God and is a delight!!

Happy anniversary! Coming over from Better Mom's link-up.

Oh that is so sweet! Both on your husband's part and your children's. What a lovely surprise that must have been and how great that the kids worked together so that you and hubby could have that special time.

Congratulations on your anniversary! Thanks for linking up to Making Your Home Sing Monday!

Um, WOW - I was going to comment back when I saw the title of your post and say something like "Ooh, we are like twinkies... my hubby and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary soon too" ... but then I read on, and realized that you have NINE KIDS!!!! We only have one. We've discussed having another, but at least at this time I truly feel unable to manage life with another kiddo, and don't feel like God has it in the cards for our family... but wow, you're a saint to manage such a large family... God bless you!!! :) p.s. I just found you via the linky at Casey Wiegand's blog :)
