Strawberries...YUMMY!

In the quiet little town where I live, I am surrounded
by the beach and
strawberry fields. I love driving down
the road and smelling the sweet &
delicious aroma of fresh
strawberries filling the air. I can eat
strawberries morning,
noon & night, and so can my little Cupcakes.Since I live so
close to the fields, I get excited when I see the flatbed
trucks loaded with crates rumbling down the country roads.
That's when I quickly send off my hubby to load up our
refrigerator with a five pound flat of fresh strawberries
from the local market! When I was pregnant with Sophia
-Princess-Mermaid-Sushi-Twinkie, I ate strawberries ALL day,
everyday....
I'm convinced that's why she was born with red hair.
And boy does she LOVE strawberries too!

Oh how nice! Around here right now, I am surrounded by snow, snow and more snow! But!!! We may see weather in the 40's next week (it was 45 yesterday but it will be 14 on Wednesday). Enjoy those berries!

Oh the torture!

Our strawberries will not be ripe until late May or early June! But they are so divine when they are ripe!

Can't wait - right now they are buried under snow and ice!

OHHH!!! How beautiful! I love where you live :) I wish I could look outside and NOT see snow right now, lol! Strawberries are the best! I cant wait to have some :)

I think you have an adorable kitchen too! But I know what you mean about wanting a bigger one. With as many kids as we have, you can never have a big enough kitchen, lol!

Hugs,
Amy

I too, love strawberries ...especially right off the vine. How nice that you live right by a field, the smell of fresh strawberries is heavenly.

Yum! Ooohhh... I can almost smell them from here...

We are covered with snow and the groudhog is serious when he says 6 more weeks of winter around here!:)

Come June though, I am right there with you on the strawberries. We used to go pick our own,- can't do that anymore!- and no young kids at home anymore to bribe- I mean convince to go help:)

Thanks for the peek into your sunny warm world! Enjoy!!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today

Oh, I can't wait for spring so that we have fresh Srawberries. Last year I missed the season, and didn't have berries for freezer jam. I can't let that happen again.

oh I am so jealous! Our strawberries won't be "in season"(trucked from the closest place) for another month or so!! I am drooling over your photos! LOL! :) chris

Aren't the strawberries good this year. We have been gobbling them up at our house. I love that new Marzetti chocolate dip at the store too.
Fixed them for Super Bowl and there isn't a single one left!
