preparations.

This morning, we woke up and mommy did her thing that she does when we are planning a trip--

Got out the nail clippers and rubbing alcohol and some cotton swabs. Ears got cleaned and nails and toes got clipped. The cupcakes know the drill and only one of them really has a fit about having her ears cleaned. Not that her ears are that dirty or anything, but she just has a tendency to complain about things like that. Whether it's having her hair brushed, nails clipped, sunscreen applied, whatever-- she squirms and flinches and acts as if some kind of gruesome torture were being inflicted upon her....And it's not who you would guess.

But now, 16 ears are sparkling and 160 fingers and toes are trimmed. Next up...packing for a family of 10.
