taking Jesus to the people.

Recently, we began doing monthly park outreaches.

Along with our music scene at the church, our kids count down the days between events.

They’re so excited they can hardly wait.

The two oldest boys learned to make balloon animals by watching balloon sculpting videos.

And now they’re experts.

Seriously-- they can make all kinds of stuff really well.

Kids have been known to wait in long lines in order to get one of their fantastic creations.

At this particular outreach, we had free hot dogs, face painting, balloon making (of course), and a jolly jump.

When it began to get dark, we showed a short Christian movie on our giant outdoor screen.

At the end of the movie, a disciple in our church gave a brief testimony about how Jesus saved him from a life of gangbanging and the street life, then invited anyone there to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

It was amazing as 7 men came forward to pray to get their lives right with God.

We have a number of these planned for this summer in local parks around the city and we’re all really excited to see what God will do.

What a great idea. Does your city require a permit for this type of thing?
